Iran would react in case of a new resolution: Araghchi

TEHRAN – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal Affairs Abbas Araghchi said in a recent interview with the Christian Science Monitor that Tehran “would react” if the Security Council introduced new sanctions against Iran for its nuclear program.

Araghchi also said that dynamic could change – and the snap inspections be reinstituted – if the nuclear file were returned exclusively to the purview of the IAEA.

"That would be a very positive move by the Security Council, and we would act accordingly," said Araghchi.

"Whenever they pass a resolution against us and put more sanctions against us, we react. I'm sure for positive gestures, we would also react," he added.
